Language is a powerful tool that allows students to engage actively in various communities, both within and beyond the classroom. Through speaking, writing, and representing, students not only express themselves but also listen to, read, and interpret the ideas and experiences of others. This process fosters critical and creative thinking as students reflect, speculate, create, analyze, and synthesize information. Language also enhances metacognition, enabling students to reflect on and control their own thinking and learning processes. It helps them develop an understanding of the skills and strategies needed to succeed in their tasks and communicate effectively as learners.
At HWS, students have the opportunity to learn multiple languages, including Nepali, Newari, Chinese, and Spanish. We offer language support programs to further develop and refine their language skills, ensuring they achieve fluency and confidence in their chosen languages.
