At Himalayan Whitehouse School (HWS), we believe that education is truly meaningful when it includes giving back to society. We don't just talk about "Service as Action"; we actively practice it. Our students are recognized and certified for the service hours they complete throughout the school year. They choose areas to serve, either individually or as part of a group, where they plan and execute development, support, and sustainability projects.
Through these efforts, our students grow into responsible, humble, and caring global citizens who are principled and balanced. They learn the importance of community care and become equipped to make a positive difference in the lives of others and their environment.
"Service as Action" at HWS encourages students to engage with their local community through various projects, offering them opportunities to explore, design, implement, and reflect on their contributions. These experiences help students understand the value of community involvement and provide them with a deeper awareness of the challenges faced by their immediate surroundings. In this way, HWS students develop a strong sense of social responsibility and the skills needed to positively impact their communities.
